WHAT ARE THE RETREAT DATES?
Our upcoming retreat is three days and three nights from April 24-27, 2017.
WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION INCLUDE?
In addition to three days full of valuable sessions from our main speakers and four hands-on creative sessions, your registration includes a beautifully styled welcome dinner on opening night, all meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for the duration of the retreat, a thoughtfully curated farewell dinner on the last night. In total, that’s eight meals! Additionally, registration includes lodging for the nights of the retreat in either a shared room with a king bed or a room with a private queen or single bed. Plus a heaping handful of thoughtfully curated surprises and goodies for you to take home!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Please expect to join us for what’s sure to be a sweet time of refresh, relationship building, gleaning practical takeaways and intentional business planning. During this time, you will be encouraged and poured into by four industry leaders who are passionate about equipping you to build the intentional business of your dreams. With four sessions geared to impart practical information on creating a purposeful business, three hands-on creative sessions designed to spark your artistic sensibilities and teach you a valuable new skill, as well as dedicated Q&A time with our entire speaker lineup, planned breakouts for planning and reflection, and thoughtfully curated surprises peppered in between, illume promises to be nothing short of lifechanging. You will walk away with a newfound group of industry professionals who call you “friend” and will be actively cheering you on to success!

WHERE IS THE CLOSEST AIRPORT?
Waco Municipal Airport is about 15 minutes away from our accommodations and offers connecting flights to most major airports. Alternately, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is a 90 minute drive from Waco with direct flights to the rest of the country. From either airport, you will be able to rent a car, grab a taxi or arrange a pickup with a private car service like Uber. We encourage attendees to carpool if possible to cut costs! Additionally, the Waco Transit System offers a shuttle within the city for $3 one-way, which would be ideal for trips to and from the airport.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AND DEPART?
Please plan to arrive by 3pm CST on April 24th in order to prepare for an afternoon and evening of festivities! Our final farewell dinner will see us off on the evening of April 26th. We recommend making arrangements to travel home the morning of April 27th; however, if you need to leave before then, we’d suggest making arrangements for after 7:30pm on April 26th.
CAN I REQUEST MY ROOMMATE?
Of course! If you know a fellow creative business owner who will be attending, please email Bonnie at email@example.com with the name of your potential roomie. If you need assistance finding a roommate, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Every effort will be made to pair up boss ladies from similar fields to room together.
WHAT’S THE ROOMING SITUATION?
Since we’re trading the traditional hotel experience for cozy homes through Airbnb, you’ll be nestled in the gorgeous Harp House, as seen on Fixer Upper Season 1. We’ll have a mix of shared rooms with either shared king beds, or private queen or twin bunk beds. Through our fun attendee questionnaire, we’re able to pair you with the ideal roommate based on your sleeping habits (light or heavy, early riser or late sleeper), personality type (introvert or extrovert), etc. Through our past retreats, roommates have arrived as strangers and left as lifelong friends, and we’re confident you’ll be paired with someone who will be a part of your creative community for life! If you have a roommate request, please contact Bonnie directly to be paired accordingly.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful! The illume retreat is all about taking a step back and refreshing your soul and perspective on business, so please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Jeans, leggings, light layers and cute flats are always appropriate at the illume retreat.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR?
Not at all! We will be providing you with notebooks and writing utensils, and we ask that you leave your iPads and laptops at your house during our sessions. Our Airbnb homes do have wifi so you will be able to respond to urgent emails if you so choose, but in order to glean the full experience from illume, we ask that you consider leaving unnecessary electronics at home and letting your sweet clients know you’ll be out of the office for a few days.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ATTENDING?
In order to keep the atmosphere as intimate as possible, registration is limited to 8 attendees. If you add in our four speakers, this cozy number allows us to truly invest in one another, build lasting relationships and tailor our content specifically to your unique business.
ARE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE?
Absolutely. We understand that investing in your education and your business can be costly, and we don’t take your desire to learn with us lightly. CAN I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?
Ticket purchases are nonrefundable; however, in the event of an emergency, we are able to discuss transferring your registration to future retreat dates. If you need to cancel your registration or feel this may be a possibility, please contact us as soon as possible.
